Justine Marie Ireton Weldon

January 30, 1927 - January 24, 2026

Justine Marie Ireton Weldon, beloved to all simply as "Nana," passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, one week shy of her 99th birthday. She was born on January 30, 1927, in Porterville, California in the very bedroom where she later spent her final moments.

Justine dedicated 35 years of service to Porterville Children’s Center as a preschool teacher, touching countless young lives with her warmth, patience, and steady kindness. In retirement, Nana poured her heart into caring for her grandchildren and giving back to her community, spending many hours knitting baby caps for Sierra View District Hospital.

Nana loved time with family above all else. Some of her happiest days were spent at the family cabin in Camp Nelson that has been apart of generations since 1914, and she always cherished trips to her favorite place, Pismo Beach where our family spent many years making memories together.

Justine was preceded in death by her parents, Justin and Marie Ireton, her husband, Don Weldon, her brother, John Ireton, and her son in law, Steven Pendleton. She is survived by her children: Mike (Suzanne) Weldon, Larry (Lou) Weldon, Donna Pendleton, and Tim (Maxine) Weldon. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren: Menlair (Steve) Kendel, Ryan (Theresa) Weldon, Andrea Scheer, Justine Pendleton, Chelsea Weldon, Brooke (Mike) Baxstresser, Taylor Weldon, and Tanner (Kaye) Weldon; and her eight great-grandchildren, ages 20 years to 15 months: Gage, Race, Seth, Emery, Trevor, Mikey, Taelynn, Brody, and many others in our family who Nana loved as her own.

Services were held on February 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Funeral Service and Crematory, 248 N. E. St., Porterville, CA 93257, followed by a graveside service at Home of Peace Cemetery, 1013 E. Olive Ave., Porterville, CA 93257. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through Myers Funeral Service.

She was, and will always be, our Nana and her love will never be forgotten.
